Antonio Maragliano (1664-1739) was a Genoese sculptor who became the most important polychrome wood sculptor in 18th-century Liguria. His carved and painted processional groups for Genoese churches and confraternities are masterpieces of Baroque devotional art, still carried through the streets during religious festivals.
