Jacques de Baerze (active c. 1384-1399) was a Flemish woodcarver from Dendermonde who created elaborately carved altarpieces for Philip the Bold, Duke of Burgundy. His two altarpieces at the Chartreuse de Champmol, gilded and painted by Melchior Broederlam, are among the finest surviving Gothic carved retables.
