
Jean-François-Théodore Gechter (1796-1844) was a French Romantic sculptor who specialized in equestrian and military bronzes. He contributed to the sculptural decoration of the Arc de Triomphe and created dynamic small bronzes of combat scenes and horses that were popular with collectors.
