Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo, Brescia

The Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo in Brescia reopened in 2018 after a decade-long renovation, housed in a 16th-century palazzo. The gallery was formed by merging the collections of Count Paolo Tosio and Count Leopardo Martinengo da Barco, both donated to the city in the 19th century.

The collection surveys Brescian and Northern Italian painting from the Renaissance through the 18th century. Raphael, Foppa, Romanino, and Moretto da Brescia feature prominently. The renovation reorganized the galleries thematically, and the museum now includes interactive displays aimed at younger visitors.
