Alexandre-Jean Oppenordt (1639-1715) was a Dutch-born French cabinetmaker who worked for the French crown, creating luxury furniture for the court of Louis XIV. He was among the leading ébénistes of the late 17th century, producing elaborate Boulle-style marquetry pieces and royal commissions.
