Alexandre-Jean Oppenordt sculpted European sculpture, dating to ca. 1685. Made from oak, pine, walnut veneered with ebony, rosewood, and marquetry of tortoiseshell and engraved brass; gilt bronze and steel, it measures 30 5/16 x 41 3/4 x 23 3/8 in. (77 x 106 x 59.4cm).
It's part of the highlighted collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, in the European Sculpture and Decorative Arts department. The Met acquired this piece as part of its public domain collection, and high-resolution images are freely available.
