Jean Guillaume Moitte (1746-1810) was a French sculptor and designer who created Neoclassical reliefs and medallions for Revolutionary and Napoleonic Paris. He studied under Pigalle and won the Prix de Rome in 1768. During the Revolution, he designed festival decorations and allegorical reliefs.
Moitte's bronze reliefs on the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel and his work at the Panthéon demonstrate a severe Neoclassical style influenced by ancient Roman relief sculpture.
