by Denis-Adrien Debouvrie, 1985
Jeanneke Pis is a 50 cm bronze fountain of a crouching girl urinating, installed in 1985 as a female counterpart to Brussels' famous Manneken Pis. Sculptor Denis-Adrien Debouvrie created it. The statue sits behind iron gates in a small alcove on the Impasse de la Fidélité, a narrow alley off Rue des Bouchers near the Grand Place.
It's much less famous than Manneken Pis but just as tiny and arguably funnier to stumble upon. Tourists toss coins at her feet for good luck. The alley is easy to miss if you're not looking for it.
Luxury wall art with the same mood and energy. Gallery-quality canvas, no museum crowds.
