by Otto Mueller
Otto Mueller depicts two seated girls wearing necklaces in his characteristic simplified style. The angular figures and flat, matte surfaces reflect his unique approach within German Expressionism.
Mueller often painted figures in relaxed, natural poses, influenced by his interest in non-Western art and supposed Romani ancestry. His technique used distemper paint on coarse canvas to achieve chalky, fresco-like surfaces. This work is held in the Sammlung Karsch in Berlin.
Luxury wall art with the same mood and energy. Gallery-quality canvas, no museum crowds.
