
C. Francesco Antommarchi (1789-1838) was a Corsican physician who served as Napoleon's doctor during his final years on Saint Helena. After Napoleon's death in 1821, Antommarchi created a death mask of Napoleon that became one of the most reproduced death masks in history, copied in bronze and plaster for collectors worldwide.
