
Luigi Valadier (1726-1785) was an Italian goldsmith, silversmith, and bronze worker who became one of the leading decorative artists in 18th-century Rome. He created elaborate liturgical silver, bronze furniture mounts, and decorative objects for the papal court and Roman nobility. His son Giuseppe Valadier became a prominent architect.
