
Christopher Hewetson (c. 1739-1798) was an Irish sculptor who worked in Rome from the 1760s, creating Neoclassical portrait busts for British and Irish Grand Tour visitors. He became the leading portrait sculptor in the English-speaking community in Rome, producing polished marble busts with classical dignity.
