Do Ho Suh (born 1962) is a Korean sculptor and installation artist known for translucent fabric replicas of architectural spaces and works exploring themes of home, displacement, and collective identity. Born in Seoul, he studied at Seoul National University and the Rhode Island School of Design before settling in New York.
Suh's signature works include full-scale replicas of his apartments and childhood home sewn from transparent colored polyester fabric, creating ghostly, portable versions of domestic spaces. His Floor (1997-2000), a glass floor supported by thousands of tiny plastic figures, addresses the individual's relationship to the collective. He maintains studios in London, New York, and Seoul.
