
Edward Sheffield Bartholomew (1822-1858) was an American Neoclassical sculptor who worked in Rome from 1850 until his early death. Born in Colchester, Connecticut, he created ideal marble figures and portrait busts in the classical tradition, becoming part of the American sculptor colony in Rome.
