Thomas Thornycroft (1815-1885) was a British sculptor who created the famous Boadicea (Boudicca) and Her Daughters bronze group on the Victoria Embankment near Westminster Bridge in London. He was the father of sculptor Hamo Thornycroft and the husband of sculptor Mary Thornycroft.
The Boadicea group, showing the ancient British queen in a chariot with scythed wheels, was completed after Thomas's death by his son and erected in 1902. He also created the equestrian statue of Queen Victoria in Liverpool.
