Grainstack (Sunset)

Claude Monet captured a grainstack at sunset, bathed in warm orange and pink light. The series demonstrated how the same subject transforms throughout the day.

These paintings pioneered the concept of serial painting. This work is at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
