by Juan Gris
Spanish artist Juan Gris painted this Cubist still life featuring grapes. Gris developed a distinctive approach to Cubism with clearer forms and brighter colors than Picasso or Braque.
His still lifes are among the finest in Synthetic Cubism. This painting is at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
