by El Lissitzky
El Lissitzky designed this book cover for Chad Gadya, a traditional Passover song. The design uses bold geometric forms and limited colors in the Suprematist style. Lissitzky transformed Jewish folk material through avant-garde visual language.
The Russian artist worked across graphic design, architecture, and painting. His constructivist approach influenced modern design worldwide. This work is part of the collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
